Artist's Comments

The idea of this drawing was inspired by a short story by Gabriel García Márquez called "El rastro de tu sangre en la nieve" (The trace of your blood in the snow) but that wouldnt fit in the title xD. So I just drew a girl that got cut in her ring finger by a rose like in the story but they don't really describe the color of her hair or anything like that (unless I missed that when I re-read it but I dunno) they just say she is small and child-like or something xD and that's what I tried to do here.

The main reason why I drew this was because I was trying out GIMP and OMG that program is so freaking awesome and what's even better is its FREE & OPEN SOURCE! I've always wanted to make a drawing program maybe I can learn something from the code :D

aw thats a bad misconception free stuff is the best!(mira no mas open office.org xD) lol because it's free! so yeah give it a chance me encanto GIMP para ser gratiz estuvo brutal. Claro q no es completamente igual a photoshop pq no se supone q sea una copia, y si q no tiene cosas q photoshop tiene pero wow en otras cosas es hasta mejor! prefiero mil veces ink en GIMP q en photoshop el pen pressure es mucho mejor :D
